Describe the components of Fiedler’s contingency theory of leadership.
The contingency theory describes leaders as either relationship-oriented or task-oriented from 3 components: Leader-Member Relations, Task Structure, and Position of Power.

In each of those 3 components there are 2 levels:
Leader-Member Relations is rated —- Good/Poor
Task Structure is rated —————– High/Low
Position of Power is rated —————S(strong)/W(weak)

There are 8 kinds of leadership situations:
Task-oriented managers—-I, II, III, VIII (1-3 and 8)
Relationship Oriented managers —-IV, V, VI, VII (4-7)
